Diablo 2 Resurrected Potions

Potions are quite necessary for survival in Diablo 2 since many players possess Regeneration Equipment, Mana and Life Leech, etc., but in times of emergencies or battle against dreadful monsters, they are highly reliable.

Due to how Belt works, drinking potions has become an easier process. You normally have four display slots, but in a Belt, there are 8, 12, or 16 slots, along with other layers when you hover over the Belt. Upon drinking a potion, the above layer drops down, which is similar to how a vending machine works. Also, when you pick up a potion it restocks itself in the Belt while stocking the potions according to red, blue, or purple columns for diablo 2 potions.

Aside from Mana, Rejuvenation, and Healing potions, there are others used for special purposes like Curing Poison, Restoring Stamina, and Thawing.

Fill Rate

Mana and Healing potions fill over time, taking about 5.12 seconds to be precise for every Mana potion, and differential values for Healing potions. The points gained are averaged over time, so if you end up drinking 200 points of the potion, then you’ll gain 40 points per second for about 5 seconds.

When you drink two or more potions in a row, the refill point is averaged over the total time required, which then adds up. For instance, if you consume a 50-point and a 200-point potion at the same time, then you will gain 250 points in about 10 seconds, or it can even be 25 seconds. That’s primarily why you shouldn’t drink more minor potions, as they often take more time to refill as compared to the greater potion variants.

The following addition and averaging work whenever you consume a potion and then directly drink another one; even though the second potion is only added to how much you had left of the first one.

Double Fill Potions

At times, when you drink both; the red and the blue potion, you will gain double the listed potions over 5.12 seconds. This isn’t a well-known feature of the game but it’s quite beneficial. Let’s look at how the process is determined –

First pick a random integer H, between 0 and your; Vitality/Energy – 1. Now, pick another random integer F, between 0 and 99 (inclusive). Finally, if the integer H is greater than F, you gain double points in health or mana for diablo 2 potions.

What are the chances, you ask? Well, If Vit is odd, then Percentage Chance would be (Vit – 1) ^ 2 / (Vit * 4). And if the Vit is even, then Percentage Chance would be (Vit – 2) / 4.

It is approximated to Vit / 4 = % Double Heal, and to figure out the odds for your Mana Potions, simply substitute your Energy Points for Vitality in the equation, and the rest is the same. Also, there is a .25% chance per Stat point, or 1% chance per 4 Stat points, and so on. The equation holds true up to 200 points in Vitality or Energy, and anything above that, then your % chance is affected by the diminishing returns in order to tune the formula: Percentage Chance = 100 – (10100 / Vit) for diablo 2 resurrected potions.

Healing Potions

When you drink a Healing Potion, it fills a certain number of your potions every time it’s consumed, and it entirely depends upon the type of potion, as well as your character’s class. You can get a better idea by looking at the table below.

Mana Potions

Mana Potions basically regenerate your Mana, and it can be leeched back in D2 and D2X. So, most of the characters of the warrior class never tend to add a point to their Energy levels, since they get enough Mana from Mana Items and Leech for diablo 2 resurrected potions.

Drinking Mana Potions helps fill a certain number of points whenever consumed, and it entirely depends upon the potion that you’re dealing with or the class of your character. Speaking in terms of the original Diablo 2 characters, they have a stable fill rate that remains unchanged throughout the expansion. Whereas, Druid and Assassin classes have more irregular stats.

Other Drinkable Potions

Antidotes help to instantly clear poisonous effects, Rejuvenation Potions instantly refills 35% of Mana and Health points, Full Rejuvenation Potions instantly refills 100% of Mana and Health points, Stamina Potions instantly refills stamina, and Thawing Potions instantly Thaws a chilled or frozen character, and it does not work against the Aura of Holy Freeze Paladin for thawing potion diablo 2.

Neither of the Rejuvenation Potions is subjected to the double that is performed by Mana and Health potions. Regardless of your C-Level, Statistics, etc., you always get a 35% and 100% refill. Partial Rejuvenation Potions also do a lot more than Super Healing or Mana Potions once you’re at a high character level.

Throwing Potions

If you want to throw a potion, first equip the stack in your weapon slot and then select whether you want to throw it to the left or right. A cool fact is that Barbarians can equip two different stacks of potions, or a potion and weapon together. In the following expansion, you can use the weapon slot to switch to a throwing potion back and forth.

The throwing speed rate and range of every character are the same. Potions are thrown in an arc, so several seconds are taken to reach the target. However, Exploding Potions have a radius, and any target within it will take complete damage. Poison Potions create a mysterious gas cloud that remains for a good amount of time before vanishing, and any target who walks through it will turn green and deal damage by the poison effect. The damage of the Poison Potions doesn’t stack, so if you hit a monster while it’s still green, then the damage over time simply resets.

Exploding Potions deal Fire as well as Physical damage to the opponent, and monsters may be resistant or immune to any or both of these. Also, the total damage assumes no resistance.

Fulminating Potions have a Radius of two, and they deal 3-5 Fire Damage. Exploding Potions have a Radius of 3, and they deal 6-8 Fire Damage. Oil Potions have a Radius of 6, and they deal 9-10 Fire Damage. Strangling Gas Potions create Poisonous Clouds, and they deal with 28 Poison Damage. Choking Gas Potions create Poisonous Clouds, and they deal 75 Poison Damage. Finally, Rancid Gas Potions create Poisonous Clouds, and they deal 168 Poison Damage.

Quest Potions

There are only two Quest Potions available in Diablo 2: The first one is Potion of Life, which is an Act Three quest reward from Alkor, and it permanently adds 20 points to life upon consumption. The second one is Potion of Thawing, which is an Act Five quest item from Malah for freeing Anya from the Prison of Ice. The potions are used on Anya to thaw her.
